Advanced Technical skills for Business Analyst

Have you ever come across projects where a business analyst cannot make a single step without deep technical knowledge? How deeply should a business analyst know the principles of API work, be able to describe data transformations, understand cloud technologies?

The "Advanced Technical skills for Business Analyst" training will be useful for business analysts working on complex technical projects where it is necessary to be able to describe the details of implementation, API, big data processing, etc.

    - Demo of Postman's main elements and functions
    - Example of a collection of requests and data-based checks

  3. API: OpenAPI Specification Practice
    - Demo of API reference documentation created based on the OpenAPI specification
    - OpenAPI Specification Syntax
    - Tools for working with OpenAPI, contracts
    - Creating documentation for one method of one endpoint

  4. Working with Data
    - Roles: Data Analyst, DataOps, BI Analyst, etc.
    - Concepts of ETL, OLAP/OLTP, DW, ML/AI, RAG, and KDD
    - Where and how data is stored
    - MongoDB basics and query features in document databases

  5. Working with data: Practice of working with visualization requirements
    - Definition of graphic grammar, visualization description parameters
    - Examples of complex visualizations and aspects of their description
    - Creating a visualization description

  6. Working with data: Practice of working with different data structures
    - Demo of an automatically generated data flow diagram and the corresponding ETL process
    - Features of parsing non-relational data into relational data and vice versa
    - Modeling collections/tables in relational (MySQL or other) and non-relational (MongoDB) DBMS
    - Writing SQL and MongoDB queries

  7. Working with data: Practice of exploratory data analysis
    - Demo of a reproducible study, corresponding tools (Jupyter laptops), and exploratory data analysis
    - Getting started with Jupyter
    - Introduction to Data Analysis with Python and Pandas

  8. Cloud Computing, Containers, Orchestration
    - Deployment Models: IaaS, PaaS, SaaS
    - Cloud Platform Fundamentals: AWS, Azure, GCP
    - General Responsibility Model in the Cloud
    - Cloud Migration Models
    - Demo Application Deployed on Cloud Infrastructure
    - Concepts and Fundamentals of Orchestration and Containers
    - How the System Deployment Environment Affects Requirements

Objectives of the "Advanced Technical Skills for Business Analyst" 

Target Audience:

This course is useful for business analysts of all levels who want to improve their knowledge of systems analysis and the description of complex systems based on APIs, data processing, and cloud infrastructure.
 

The program aims to help participants:

  • Gain theoretical and practical knowledge of working with APIs and data processing systems.

  • Develop a deeper understanding of the architectural aspects of building APIs, web services, data warehouses, cloud infrastructure, and systems integration.

  • Understand interaction methods in terms of functional interaction (API) and data transformation (ETL).

  • Learn to formulate requirements for complex technical system components: APIs, data warehouses, cloud services, etc.

  • Write requirements for BI systems

  • Get the opportunity to participate in architectural decision-making.
